It was a record warm day today for this time of year, it is so nice out!

We had a busy day, but it was full of good things. I had a MOPS meeting this morning as we are planning our year end tea! It sounds like it will be alot of fun. One of the women just had a baby a couple of weeks ago and she was there with her little tiny baby! He had the cutest little tiny jeans and tennis shoes on! Anyhow, we divided up all the food to make and I am making little cucumber tea sandwiches and a variety of quick breads like lemon poppy seed, banana, and zucchuni.

After that we had to go to the doctor. L. needed his yearly check up and A. needed to be checked up on to see about his asthma. I am so happy as she said we can try going off of the medication and gave me some natural things to do instead. She said they have found if they eat one brazil nut a day it really helps! I am so glad I have a doctor who recommends stuff like that and did not even mention about the dreaded “I” word. It is worth the 15 min drive! She had a student doctor helping her and they both commented on how well behaved the boys were, which was something I needed to hear as I felt like I have been having a bad week!

F. got paid today and he really wanted us to go out to eat which is something we rarely ever do, so we went out to dinner, what a treat! We went to a chinese resteraunt which the boys and F. love. T. ate the biggest plateful of watermelon, other melon, peaches and pineapple!

So, now, I am going to relax and take it easy the rest of the night. Yesterday I washed, dried, and put away and went through all the laundry. I sorted out most of our winter stuff, folded it and put it away for the year. I just hope i got it all as what happens is it ends up back in the laundry all summer if it is left in their drawers. I also got such a good deal on those cotton shirts so took out some of the straggly looking ones to give away. I went through some of the shoes and found a couple pairs to go to the garage sale pile. It feels good as I actually did all of that! I hung up some of the coats in our closet instead of in the laundry room so it looks better. I am trying to come up with a way to organize a couple things in my office better. I would like the school desks and the rest of the bookshelves from the boys room in here, so that I can put a toddler bed in their room for T. I was reading about triple bunks awhile back and thinking about that possibility! I think I will stick to painting and building a picnic table this year!

I am reading this book by Marilyn Rockett- Homeschooling at the Speed of Life (Her blog link is in my friends bar) I am really enjoying it and will post a review when I am done.

My youngest son is having some on going medical issues. We moved here in September and haven't found a doctor I really like yet. Are you anywhere close to Missoula? I could use a recommendation if you are.

We loved the weather yesterday. My son had a baseball game last night and it was nice not to have to bundle all the kids in coats. It was beautiful!Edited by loefflermom on May. 2, 2007 at 8:00 AM
