Maria was being very inspiring for me and helped me to spend some money and figure out how to improve my living room! We bought those bookshelves for either side of my cedar chest, rearranged the pictures and went curtain shopping. We were going to make curtains, but have you priced Home Decorator fabric lately? Wow!!

We soon discovered it was cheaper to buy a ready made curtain elsewhere than make one. We found a good deal though. I paid $6.99 each for the lovely long fabric scarf we hung in the window. We had quite the time getting it to hang properly. We all thought the living room looked so much more inviting this way though! Just nice enough to have a cup of tea and a good book! Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed seeing what I have been busy with.

Good job! Sounds like you and your sister are close and have fun together – what a blessing. :-)

Thank you for all the nice comments! That made me feel so nice, like all the work was worth it! I got a plant to put into the one corner and we are going to hang the other curtain today when Maria comes over. It feels so nice, not like my living room.
