Our weeks 5 and 6 were very busy, and I was so busy, I did not have time to update our blog post, so you get two for one!
L. sorting books we purchased for reading
Some of our books this week…
H. has been working with a wonderful young woman who takes her time to read with him and tutor him in reading skills. He has really grown in his confidence over the summer and we hope to go for awhile with her as he loves it!

Sometimes Language arts makes a mess….
We took a field trip this week to learn about Water cycles and conservation.
Demonstrating a water molecule
Lots of them!
Outside, they did an activity where they followed, journaled and then acted out the cycle of different water molecules.
Some of them were really creative!
This one involved rock climbing!
Everyone all together up on top….
Taking a break for tree climbing…
We joked about homeschoolers not knowing how to walk in lines….we proved they can!
Hands on experiments showing how water gets dirty and how they clean it.
Showing inside the water treatment plant
Everyone’s faces are hilarious…
Then on Friday and Saturday, we went to Silverwood…
That is a whole other post…but here are a few pictures!
