We were not planning on going up north, but we needed to visit my husband’s parents and his mom’s health was suffering, so the trip down was not okay for her.

We drove through violent rain storm upon leaving town and chose to take the backroads up north, which thankfully we did, as the other road severely flooded. We had to drive through a couple large amounts of water on the road, but we were safe!

When we arrived, Grandma served a meal and P. and grandpa sat to practice some Russian.

The littler boys had a hard time sitting still, so we brought in a small bucket of legos to build on their rug.

It was a lifesaver!

The commercial building where his brother lives. It has been converted inside into a nice house, a church and will be another 3 or 4 bedroom apt. as well. There is also a shop in the basement. It is not much to look at from the outside, but nice inside.

We went fishing with Fred’s dad…and they had some nice time together.

It was chilly, but the boys went swimming with their cousin!
