My boys are growing up! As of tomorrow, I will have a 13 year old and 11 year old…..it seems surreal!
How did that happen?
They are both growing up to be such fine young men….oh, that is not to say they don’t have their problems. But I think often we tend to think if we are praising our children it means we are overlooking their problems. I think that we focus too much on people’s lesser qualities and push them, hound them until they are too beaten down.

About a week ago, the boys were playing ball and it broke a large window in the basement. Of course, I was not too happy, but I was thankful that no one got hurt as a large piece of glass fell out in a place where they were playing.

I realized how important people are, things are things. I want to build character and praise them when they do something right. I don’t want to rehash all the wrongs they have done, but deal with it and move on.

Thank God for giving me sons!
