Wednesday: My sister’s baby was born…..it was supposed to be soup, but instead they had baked potatoes with cheese and $5 pizza
Thursday: Homemade chicken and rice soup, oranges, canteloupe, sliced red peppers, tomatoes. The soup was made with my roasted chicken bones from last week with pickings off the bones, curry powder, leftover spanish rice added, green onions (which I got tons for free from the fruit stand), carrot, grated, spices, celery (which I also got for free from the fruit stand) and the fruit was all, well, I paid $8 for huge box tomatoes, 2 bunches cilantro, 2 kiwi, box of apples, peppers, and more……They basically said, can you use this, can you use this and loaded the van up with tons of produce!! I have to get busy making salsa or freezing tomatoes!!!)
The soup was great!!!
Friday: Roasted red pepper and tomato soup, french bread (I have never made it before, but it sounds so good, I have to try it and I have the stuff!) The others can have leftover soup if they don’t like it! Corn on the cob
Saturday: Sausage and potato skillet- I have a package of some kind of brats in my freezer for awhile that have to be used as well as red potatoes that need to be used up.
Sunday: Hot dogs, popcorn, quick breads with PB
Monday:
Baked potatoes with toppings- cheese, steamed broccoli etc. I have frozen chopped broccoli in the freezer
Tuesday: Beef stew, bread in bread machine

I went over budget some this week as I had to buy a case of peanut butter, it made it $1.13 a jar, but it should last several weeks, hopefully. Also, I had to buy dishwasher detergent which will last at least 6 months or longer though. I also had to get other personal toiletries that add up a bit. Along with the extra $8 for the produce, it was like $60 instead of $50 for the week. But, it was worth it!!!

Also, I got a couple of treats like hot dogs for lunch and we got tons of fruits and vegetables and I gave in and bought some sauce to make Orange chicken sometime!!! I love that stuff!!!
