My Review:
This book starts out talking about the changes women have made over time. I found this interesting considering we just discussed the book “She Walks in Beauty” by Siri Mitchell
detailing corsets. Anyhow, when Shaunti describes the Roman world and how the freedom women experienced effected women, I felt sort of a chill. Women seemed to have come “so far” when really we have made a full circle and not a very good one.
This book speaks of the struggle many women in general face. The juggling work, family, goals and friendships. We find that for everything we get, we sacrifice another.
We find in this book good news that we can be ready for a life that leads to peace and enjoyment rather than stress and regret.
I am personally hoping this book gives me some insight on how to deal with the daily pressures of life and see what is important in life biblically as a woman.
