Description

My Review:
Fast paced, but with heart, is one of the ways I would use to describe this book by Diann Mills. She gets to the heart of a smart girl, that has been on top of her game for years, but allows a man to get to her to steal secrets the only way he could..by pretending to care for her. I thought she did a brilliant job of showing this part of the story. I have found in my own life that one of the easiest ways to dupe a smart person, is to cut through their defenses by caring for them, but also, burned once, it is not easy to burn them again. Grayson had his work cut out for him when there was an attraction in the first meet between characters.
The only thing I found a bit hard to swallow was the romance part of this book. It moved a little too swiftly on both counts for knowing how smart people function. But, I realized, it is fiction and we can’t have a 500 page novel! =)
I would say that for a suspense book, this has some violence, bombings, description of death up close, Taryn is hurt several times as well as other people. It is filled with murder and mayhem, but not as violent as your typical TV show. The romance is fairly light, so if you allow some romance in a teens reading, they would likely enjoy it, but the violence may be a bit more inappropriate for a teen reader.
I throughly enjoyed this book and hope to read more of the series!
