I know before I had seen a loved one die, I thought it was what the movies portrayed it. You suffered a little, then said good bye and breathed no more. I cannot tell you how much I wish it was that way.

Cancer is a wicked disease and cruel taskmaster. It causes often those last days to be not the most pleasant and living through the agony of watching it happen is not very nice!

My aunt is the oldest of 5 children. She has, like many people, made her share of mistakes and successes. The one thing that I think is incredible is the amazing things she has done with her life.

It has caused me to take time to ponder what is important. The beauty in an afternoon spent with family. Those short snippets of conversation with a sister, or the tickling war you have with your son when it is way past his bedtime.

I know we all have duties and responsibilities that we have to fulfill, but sometimes I think we put more emphasis  on our lists than what is truly important. Our life is like a vapor, today we have everything, tomorrow it could be gone.

Live today like tomorrow is your last. Enjoy the little things in life and don’t give into frustration as much.
