My Review:

This book is a sequel to Shadowed in Silk, but could easily be a stand alone if you had not been familiar with the characters in the previous book. However, Shadowed in Silk and Captured in Moonlight are both must-reads and you should read both!

I recently purchased Shadowed in Silk in trade paper when it became available, even though I owned it on Kindle, as I wanted to be able to share it with friends and family!  In this book, Laine Harkness and her friend Eshana, anger the temple owners when they save a young girl from their grasp. Fleeing for safety, they end up in different parts of the country, both experiencing different trials.

This book is set in the 1920’s, and touches on much of the history of India; it’s culture and some of the darker parts of life there.  I had read similar stories from Amy Carmichael’s life story, so his book fascinated me.

I have come to expect that this publisher, but especially this author, is one that will pull you into the story, the life and everyday struggles of the characters. You live, feel, breathe with them! This series, but especially this book, is one that I highly recommend. It touches on so many things, that anyone would be able to relate to and learn from. 

Captured by Moonlight is available in an eBook, but also will be available as a print book May 15th, 2013 and is available for pre-order from Amazon.  The Kindle edition is only $3.03, making this an affordable read!
