This was one of our families favorite recipes. We would make it when we were even very poor stretching the ground beef or turkey with TVP. It is also very fast and easy to make. You can use leftovers over baked potatoes also. I like to serve coleslaw on the side.
2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar 4 T Worcestershire sauce
3 t. salt 2 t chili powder 6 c. tomato juice
Brown meat, add flour and then rest of ingredients. Simmer 15-20 min until thickened. Serve on hamburger buns or over bread. (If the meat is very lean you may have to add some grease)
