It started out with me last night not being able to sleep and being wide awake at 1 am is not fun, when your eyes are getting all scratchy from sleepiness! So, I stayed awake and read Celia Garth by Gwen Bristow, which by the way if none of you have read it, it is an excellent book and I remembered why it was always a favorite. There is a guy in there who quotes the bible all the time…his horse was named Jerry. The quote in the book was something like this “Most people assume that he is named after Jeremiah in the bible, but you, being an intelligent girl know that he really was named after Jereboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin” The character, Luke, is such a cut up, he makes you laugh the whole book, which is great history about the Revolutionary war.

Anyhow, so it was late when I finally fell asleep, could not sleep in bed again so slept on the couch most of the night, which means laying with my head in the middle and for some reason with my legs up on the couch arm….don’t ask me why, but I sleep better that way! Sometime later, I crawled into bed and missed my alarm, the clock was wrong and woke up suddenly by bouncing boys telling me someone was at the door! I was so out of it, I could not figure out who it was. It was some people coming to deliver my husband’s medication, but it took me a bit to wake up enough to answer the door. Finally after a shower I finally woke up, but had one of those grumpy, no good days!

It was a cool day, almost cold, outside I was shivering violently with short sleeves on, so decided to switch my menu, plus I had forgotten to marinate the meat, so we had Turkey Tettrazzini instead tonight and snickerdoodles. I also had spinach and tomato sort of soup with it…..I know, but I discovered that you can watch House Hunters online and I was watching it and they had soup that looked like that and I wanted it badly, so I got that instead of salad.

We've had 100 degree weather again so I could go for some shivering about now!
