It has been raining and raining! It is nice because it is too warm to freeze, but too cool for fires to spread anymore and they are getting them all mopped up.

What are some of your favorite activities for children to do when it is raining?

We have done puzzles, board games, read books etc. But are looking for some more ideas…..

Number one fav rainy day activity: JUMPING IN ALL THE PUDDLES!!! And trudging through the mud looking for critters. :-)

    Less messy inside activities:
    Checkers
    Chinese Checkers
    Go-fish
    Play-doh
    Baking yummy treats
Going bowling (obviously not in the house!)
    Paper airplane contests

Yeah, but it is COLD and rainy! They come in just freezing cold when they go outside. Thanks for the other ideas!

A game that we save for a rainy day is to take the phone, or some other object, and hide it from the children. I love to sit on the chair and tell them if there hot or cold. You can also teach left and right with this game.

If you made cards with the books of the bible on them, the kids to scramble them and then place them in the bible.
