I am a little late on this one, but it sounded fun! I found this here at My Friend Amy Faith and Fiction Saurday

Today’s Question:

We all come to faith in Jesus at different times in our lives and we all come to Christian fiction at different times, too! What’s the first book in the Christian fiction genre you can remember reading? What was your impression of it? Did it make you want to read more or less?

The first Christian fiction I remember reading was actually being read to me. My mom read to me when I was about 6 years old, the Love comes softly series by Janette Oke. I guess it would have been classified as romantic western fiction. I loved them! I loved spending time with my mom reading and it still means alot to me that she took the time to read so much to me. I remember being curious as she skipped parts she felt were too much for me at my young age and I wondered what those were and went back when I was older and re-read them! It made me want to keep reading more and more !

How wonderful that she started your love of Christian fiction like that. Kids remember mom reading to them and it is always a special time they look back on.
