Who else in their right mind decides that it is time to take care of the apples you have had in the basement and you wait until evening to do it?
Why me, course!! Never mind I should have done them a couple months ago and then I would not have had to get rid of so many, but not as many had gone bad as I first thought!
Here are some of my happy helpers!
They had already had their showers for the night and were in their PJ’s and were sorting lids and rings!
I finally threw away a bunch of old lids that I have no clue why on earth I was saving them!
I ended up canning 7 quarts of applesauce and had a big bowl for the fridge for us to eat this week.
They look a little funny because of the lighting in the basement, but they turned out nicely! The boys all had fun too!
That applesauce looks really yummy! Enjoy!! You are not alone, I often put things off, when I know I should be doing it now.
