Reclaiming Lily

We meet them, a childless couple longing for a baby. Red tape streams endlessly out ahead of them as they strive to cut through it with gifts, playing the games, following the rules…and yet, will it give them a baby?
Their journey becomes our journey as we are living it alongside Andrew and Gloria. But once again, their plans are changed when the communist country of China, plays by their own set of rules.
Gloria doesn’t care though!! She has her daughter….and is determined that she will be the “Joy” of their lives.

Kai Chang is determined that she will find her little sister that she had to give up to save. She may have some information that is vital to her sister’s health and future as well. Her hatred and misunderstanding of Christianity, is about to be confirmed when she meets the adopted family, a pastor’s family. Can the love of God reach into her heart as well, while she is accomplishing her goal?

Can this family unite to form one family and love the little girl who is not so little anymore, or will her rebellion against authority bring more damage?

Patti Lacy once again brings us a fiction story based on fact, drawing us into the lives of the players and we will not put it down until we have read the last page…or that is what I did! This author has a knack for word pictures that make you almost feel the tornado when it passes and wonder why you are still standing. This book discusses a little known disease, at least to me, called PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease). I found the medical information in the book enlightening and sobering. This book is a must read on your fall/winter reading lists. It is an amazing story, and will stay with you for the duration. -Martha
