My Review:
I have enjoyed Lis Wiehl’s other books, but this one kept me entrapped in the world of Mia and Charlie and I could not stop thinking about it. It has been a bit since a book has so enthralled me!
A recent widow, Mia has her own struggles she is dealing with. She is attempting to raise two children, keep up on behind bills and solve the murder of her best friend.
The only thing I was sad about, was how this book ended. I felt like I wanted more to wrap it up! I don’t want to give any spoiler alerts, but the second case she was working on, I felt like it needed more. I hope since this is the beginning of a series, that the next book wraps up a bit more on that.
If you like a good mystery, enjoy the intrigue surrounding the police force, prosecutors and offices…you will enjoy this one. The identity of the murderer was hard for me to figure out, which is a good sign of a good murder mystery!
