Lucy dreams of being a photographer, even in a town where her photography is not appreciated. She wants not to just be a photographer, but she wants to be one for the local newspaper. She hopes that if she can achieve her goal, her widower father will see her value and worth, more than just a nuisance.
Lucy is like a magnet for trouble though, she attempts to photograph a horse, and ends up being part of a stage robbery, she tries to photograph the strange recluse living outside of town and falls into a pit. How her camera survived, I am not sure….
David Wolf, the recluse that lives out of town, has come there to exact something from childhood bullies who almost killed him. He wants nothing to do with forgiveness that Lucy wants to teach him about, but can they both learn some lessons from each other.
It took me a minute when I started reading this book to put the right age on Lucy. I imagined her to be about 12 years old the way she was acting in the beginning, but I soon realized her to be much older and actually old enough to fall in love and get married! = )
This is the third book in the Rocky Mountain Romance series! I enjoyed the way the author wove the story of forgiveness into the mystery surrounding the small town in the Rocky Mountains. You see how some people let selfishness and greed continue and how others who were bullies as children, grew up and changed their lives and their habits.
