I was visiting my mom and she is trying to save money and use up the food in her freezer, pantry etc. She had this big bunch of parsley to use up and I suggested we make a parsley pesto. It was really good. I used the huge bunch of parsley, added a handful of almonds, and emptied a bunch of pizza parmesan packets into it and then ground it up finely and added some olive oil. She had no fresh garlic, or one sad clove I found later, but it was really good tossed with some egg noodles.

It is fun to save money this way sometimes, uses up the things you have in the house and makes you think outside the box.

I have been enjoying some garden produce. We had tomatoes and cucumbers from my garden today. I have lots of zucchini and banana peppers too. Beets will come as well.

I went to the dentist today to get my teeth cleaned. I have a fear of dentists, but today was not too bad. Two of my sons came and held my hand most of the time. It really helped!! i am very thankful for them!
